Burford, Shropshire : ウィキペディア英語版 | Burford, Shropshire
Burford is a village and civil parish in Shropshire, England. According to the 2001 census the parish had a population of 1,108, rising to 1,392 at the 2011 Census.〔(【引用サイトリンク】title=Civil Parish population 2011 )〕 ==Location== The parish is situated to the north of the River Teme, on the other side of the Teme is the Worcestershire town of Tenbury Wells. To the west, the A456 road bridges the Ledwyche Brook, leading to the Herefordshire village of Little Hereford. To the northeast is the Shropshire village and parish of Boraston. Where the Ledwyche meets the Teme is geographically notable for a number of reasons - it is the most southerly place in Shropshire and is the farthest place from the county town, Shrewsbury, at 45km or 28mi in a straight line, or 37mi by road. The tripoint between the counties of Shropshire, Herefordshire and Worcestershire is on the Teme, just upstream from the confluence. Also, a small part of the parish of Burford lies on the other side of the Ledwyche and is virtually an exclave.
